Content Management Systems

The ability to manage your own website is an important tool, and there are many ways to achieve it. Unlike some agencies, we will never enforce our own solution to lock you into our services.

We will adopt a CMS approach based on the requirements of your project to ensure the system does exactly what you need it to. We will usually use one of the following:

  • Expression Engine
    a hugely flexible and easy-to-use web publishing system
  • CodeIgniter
    for powerful, bespoke web applications
  • Magento
    state of the art e-commerce software
  • WordPress
    a fantastic free publishing tool for smaller sites

Web application development

Sometimes you will have very specific requirements for your website, and the best way to achieve this is to develop bespoke code.

We work with the open source technologies PHP and MySQL. These power some of the busiest sites on the web, such as Wikipedia and Facebook.

We like to think we can program anything. In over ten years of PHP development we've never failed in any challenge our clients have set.

We're also very comfortable with so-called Web2.0 technologies such as AJAX, particularly using the excellent JQuery framework.

We believe your website should be available to everyone, regardless of the device they choose to browse with, location, or physical ability.

As a result we're fanatical about web standards and accessibility. All code we produce will be valid, semantic HTML & CSS.
